Adding the very first pieces to our quilt

Pieces for the quilt have started to come in from near and far, it’s all very exciting and heartwarming!

The picture shows pieces from Kate in the UK, Viviana in the States and Anette in Sweden, as well as some gorgeous rescued Indian textiles from Bazaar which I’ll be using to fill spaces.

I’ve found a perfectly-sized piece of cotton interlining to use as the backing, kindly sent to me by Bea from our Discord community. In this time-stamped video, I’m adding the very first piece to our quilt, and talking a bit more about the overall concept and aims behind this global Arty Farty Community project.
