I’m still catching up on uploading videos of all the wonderful pieces that have been coming in from all over the world for our Bonkers Quilt.
This parcel from Paula in the US was extra special and I was quite blown away when I opened it. Paula specialises in Baltimore Album Quilting, and her workmanship is just exquisite. The piece she made for the quilt features a bird nesting in a tree, the details are just incredible. She also included some larger pieces of her Baltimore Album quilt blocks, which are made using a needle-turn applique technique - the designs are stunning and the work is just wow! Paula also put in a simple needle-turn kit for me to try, which I am very much looking forward to.
Luckily, this parcel arrived before I set off for Sussex, so I was able to take all these pieces with me for people to see at the show.
